Spay and Neuter Clinics

If you're experienced trapping feral cats and need to find low-cost resources for getting them fixed, you have several resources.

Please note:  If you bring a feral cat or cats to these clinics, YOU are responsible for their after care.  In addition, you must return them to their colonies and agree to manage the colony responsibly, ie. provide with food and water, shelter and continued trapping and altering.

Sunday Clinics
The Sacramento SPCA holds Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Clinics the first four (4) Sundays per month. These clinics are specifically for feral and free-roaming cats that have been trapped the day before the clinic, and are not intended for pet cats.

Cost is $15 per cat - This includes spay/neuter, a mandatory ear tip, FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, and a flea treatment.

Daily Clinics
Trapped feral cats may also be brought to the Sacramento SPCA Spay/Neuter Clinic (either location), Monday through Saturday without an appointment.  The price is $45 for a female and $30 for a male. Call (916) 504-2818 or Visit their site for more details.

Emergency Vouchers
The Coalition For Community Cats can provide you with an e-mailed voucher for spay/neuter. These vouchers are for use during the week (Monday-Saturday), are honored at the Sacramento SPCA at 6201 Florin Perkins Rd. or their satellite clinic at 3839 Bradshaw Rd. only. One trapped cat per day is allowed and no appointment is necessary. The cost is $15.00 per cat and includes spay/neuter, ear tip and vaccinations.
